Endowment Fund, Uwc

​

● One of the few selected students selected to join a team in the newly funded UWC

endowment. The UWC endowment handles over 50 million dollars in funds and aims

for a growth trajectory of over 300 million dollars. The fund is currently run by

Adriaan De Mol Van Otterloo.

● Meetings every friday to learn how to valuate companies using the endowment

method, DCF, sum of parts, looking at porters 5 forces, SWOT analysis of various

companies, analyzing business news weekly, analyzing management teams and

learning various soft skills needed to thrive in the financial industry.

● End goal is to pitch a company suitable for investment by the endowment fund.

 

Ai Vc Research Course With iGNITE X

​

● Did an externship course with a US based VC “Ignite XL” that invest in seed ventures.

● learnt criteria VC look for before investing, utilized AI search engines to find suitable

information and create business plans on a chosen company of my choice that

matches the specific criteria given and pitched the presentation virtually.

● Received an outstanding completion certificate meaning I ticked 4+ out of the 5

criterias required and is highest certification obtainable.

Clear Marketing Intern, Singapore July 2022

Interned with CLEAR, a start-up social commerce app for skincare.

● Created and published content / articles for Social media.

● Helped with consumer research to gain insights into the skincare segment in

the Target Audience.

● Brainstormed and generated ideas for Marketing and Business Development.

 

Shadowing at an Accounting firm, N Rajan Associates, Singapore August 2022

● Assisted in the audits and reviewing the financial statements of various companies.

● shadowed auditor and understood the various roles an accounting firm undertakes.
